Wants Interests and Needs

In this lesson I want to talk about the importance of drawing out a prospects Wants Interests and Needs or their W.I.N.s'. Knowing the W.I.N.s' of your leads can give you a huge advantage when it's time to make an offer.

One reason getting this information is important is because it can save you alot of time and wasted effort in many areas. Just think about it, if you have several products you are promoting wouldn't it save you alot of time and frustration if you knew exactly what product or service your prospect needs?

This not only saves you time and effort it keeps your prospects from receiving offers they don't want, in the end that could mean the difference between a customer for life and someone who will never listen to your proposals ever again, no matter how good they are.

One way to gather the W.I.N,s of potential buyers is by going to forums. Forums are designed to bring people from across the industry who know the most about a specific topic together in one place. This is a great place to see for yourself what people need.

People come here from all across the world to ask questions and also to discuss the future developments within the topic. Here you can find the challenges and barriers, and possible directions/solutions of your topic.

Conclusions are not as important as getting ideas on the table.?Forums are intended as idea-generators that will help the participants go back to their companies with a new energy focused on moving toward future needs.

I repeat, focused on moving toward future needs.

In short forums are one place to go where people tell you exactly what they want in the form of a need they express.

If you visit a forum on Dogs and you see that people are having problems with their pets shedding in the summer time, you can rest assured that these people will be more likely to buy a dog shampoo that reduces shedding than an advertising package for entrepreneurs.

These are 3 great places to find good topics and discover what people need. Or alternately you can simply goto Google.com type in "your topic+forum" and search.

Another way you can find out what your particular niche is interested in is by simply asking them. Thats right do it the old fashion way, simply ask your prospective group what would help them in their endeavours. What kinds of Tools, Information, Or services would help make their lives easier.
