How you optimize your page content is by following a few guide lines on how to best place keywords in your code but first you need to identify your strategic keywords.

Keywords
In order to select your keywords you need to look at each page of your site and find specific keywords embedded within the content, these are identified as strategic keywords. These may be single words or phrases, phrases tend to work better than words. Try to use these words or phrases within the first 100 words on each one of the pages on your site because the search engines will pick this up as relative content.

Coding
The next thing you should do in optimizing your site is place your keywords in all the HTML tags possible as well as in the Meta tags. For your information, not all search engines read Meta tags so the more keywords you place else where the better. You need to make sure that your strategic keywords appear in all major areas throughout all the pages on your site, titles being among the most important places to include keywords.

Link Building
Search engine optimization is a great internet marketing tool but by no means the only one. Another valuable form of internet marketing is link building and link popularity. Link building is a way of requesting and researching links to build your websites popularity. You can either pay for these links or you can make a deal of exchanging links with other relevant sites. By doing so you develop links back to your site which is a great way to market yourself, site or product.

Link Popularity
By using this method you can increase the rankings of your pages and it is all based on the ranking and quality of a site?s incoming link. This means you should check out someone?s page rank before agreeing to display their link. The higher page rank a site linking to yours has, the faster you will climb in rank on the search engines. The more quality links a site has to it the higher importance it must have, according to the search engines.

These are just a few examples of things you can do in order for search engines to pick up your site but there are so many other ways you can market your site and products online. One very simple and effective way of doing so is by article writing. Writing good informative articles about your site or product has proven to be one of the most effective marketing tools on the internet today and by spending an hour or two a day writing and submitting articles you can expect an immense increase in traffic to your site.
